How we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit our website or get in touch with us.
Last updated: 21 October 2026
This policy explains how Pitchroute (“Pitchroute”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit this website or contact us. Pitchroute is a digital engineering and transformation partner based in Accra, Ghana. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

Information you give us. When you use the form on our Talk to Us page, we collect your name, your email address, the services you’re interested in, an optional budget range and anything you write in your message. If you email or call us, we receive whatever details you choose to share, such as your name, contact details, company and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting servers record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the time of each request. We use this to keep the website secure and working properly.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, set up through Google Site Kit, to understand how people find and use our website. It records information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, how you arrived (for example from a search engine or another website), your approximate location (country and city), and your device, browser and screen size. Google Analytics does not store your full IP address, and we have not enabled Google Signals, so this information is not linked to your Google account. We only see combined statistics, not individual visitors. Visits by our own signed-in administrators are not tracked. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them (see Cookies below).
What we don’t collect. This website does not use advertising or social media tracking tools, and we don’t build marketing profiles of visitors. We don’t take payments through this website.
We will only send you marketing emails if you have asked to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
Where data protection laws apply, such as Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) or the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on the following grounds to use your information:
We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website. Each one only receives the information it needs to provide its service.
We use a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies may be set by the website software, for example to keep our administrators signed in or to protect forms from spam. These don’t require consent. We also store your cookie choice in your browser so we don’t ask again on every page.
With your consent, we also use Google Analytics cookies to measure how the website is used:
Your choice. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. If you decline, or don’t choose, no Analytics cookies are set. Google may still receive limited information without cookies, such as that a page was viewed, which it uses to estimate overall visitor numbers. We remember your choice for 12 months. You can change your cookie choice at any time, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it with the service providers described above, with professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants where necessary, with a buyer or successor if our business is reorganised or sold, or with public authorities when the law requires it.
We work with clients and team members in Ghana, Europe and elsewhere, and some of our service providers process data in other countries, including the European Union and the United States. When we transfer personal information across borders, we take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected, for example by choosing providers that offer recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to respond and follow up. If an enquiry doesn’t lead to a working relationship, we delete or anonymise it once we no longer need it. We keep client records for the duration of our work together, and afterwards for as long as legal, tax and accounting rules require. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes. Google Analytics deletes detailed visit data after 2 months. We keep only combined, anonymous statistics after that.
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access controls and regularly updated software. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and will act promptly if an incident occurs.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email info@pitchroute.org. We may need to confirm your identity before we respond. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in Ghana, the Data Protection Commission; in the EU or UK, your local supervisory authority.
Our website and services are intended for businesses and organisations. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, please get in touch.
